Far Corner — a corner arc marked on a football pitch at night Scroll

The manifesto

From the far corner of the world, the whole game.

Football in New Zealand has never wanted for stories — only for someone to tell them properly. The kid who catches two buses to training. The club that's been the heart of a suburb for a hundred years. The keeper who never made it and stayed anyway. The immigrant league that quietly built a community. The moment that mattered and was gone from the timeline in a day.

We put stories like those in print, every issue — framed like they deserve, told in full, made to keep. Not the governing body's line. Not the algorithm's leftovers. The people's game, given to the people who live it.

We're at the far corner. Turns out that's the best view of the whole pitch.

What it is

An art-led print magazine for football in New Zealand.

Everyone else does football in New Zealand shallow and disposable — match reports that vanish by morning. We do it deep, crafted and permanent. Depth instead of the feed. A keepsake instead of a scroll.

01

Framed

A beautifully made, design-led object. The photography and the craft earn their place on the page. The goal frame is our motif.

02

In full

Told with a depth the feed can never reach. Long-form, people-first, and never in a hurry to get to the result.

03

Forever

Built to be kept on a shelf, not scrolled past. Something you own, and hold, and come back to.

The name

Far Corner

i

A corner is a football set piece — the flag, the arc, the ball swung in.

ii

Aotearoa New Zealand is the far corner of the football world — the last corner on the map.

iii

And the far corner is where the overlooked arrive: the unmarked runner who ghosts in at the back post to score.

That third meaning is the soul of it — we tell the stories of the people the rest of football overlooks. From the grassroots volunteer to the national-team captain.

The list

Issue one is coming.

Leave your email and we'll tell you the day it lands. One list, no noise — just the people building this, and the first to hold it.

Independent of the governing body. For everyone in the game.
